🌻English Summer School at Zoo-phonics Academy Kichijoji– Week 1: Elementary Class Highlights!🌻
The theme for Week 1 was "Earth Patrol, Little Heroes on Ecoduty", focusing on environmental issues.🌏
At Summer School at Zoo-phonics Academy, students learn each week’s theme through activities and crafts conducted entirely in English.
In the elementary class, the children learned about environmental issues such as ocean pollution and recycling through engaging hands-on activities. 🐬🐠💧Using crafts they made, they practiced sorting different types of waste.
In one experiment using oil and water, they simulated an ocean environment by adding oil to water and thought about marine pollution. They also tried using various tools to see which one could clean up the oil most effectively.🐳
Summer School also includes time for learning phonics.
In the elementary class, students are divided by level and taught the rules of phonics accordingly. The children enthusiastically used body signals along with their teacher to learn and practice the sounds!😊👏

Week1のテーマは"Earth Patrol, Little Heroes on Ecoduty", 環境問題について学ぶ週でした🌏
サマースクールでは毎週決まったテーマについて、英語で行われるアクティビティや工作等を通して学んでいきます。
小学生クラスの子どもたちは、海洋ゴミやリサイクルなどの環境問題について、アクティビティを通して学びました🐬🐠💧
作ったクラフトを使ってゴミを分別するアクティビティをしたり、油と水を使った実験では、海に見立てた水の中に油を入れ、海洋汚染について考えたり何の道具を使うと一番きれいに油を回収できるかを試しました🐳
サマースクールでは、フォニックスを学ぶ時間もあります。
小学生クラスでは、レベル分けをしフォニックスのそれぞれのルールを学んでいきます。
子どもたちは、先生と一緒に一生懸命ボディシグナルをし音を確認しながら取り組んでいました！😊👏
