🌻English Summer School – Week 2: Eelementary Class Highlights!🌻
At Summer School at Zoo-phonics Academy, students learn each week’s theme through activities and crafts conducted entirely in English.
The theme for Week 2 was "Once Upon a STEM", a combination of fairy tales and STEM education.🌼
In the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, children explored how to build the strongest chair by experimenting with different ways of assembling blocks. 🐻In connection with The Three Little Pigs, they learned which materials and shapes are best for building strong houses.🏡 Through these fairy tales, they engaged with STEM concepts in a fun way.😊
In the elementary class, there was also time to learn phonics. The children worked hard to learn the rules and sounds of phonics, using body signals together with their teacher!👏

サマースクールでは毎週決まったテーマについて、英語で行われるアクティビティや工作等を通して学んでいきます。
Week2のテーマは"Once Upon a STEM", おとぎ話とSTEM教育を組み合わせたテーマでした🌼
３びきのくまのお話では、一番強度の高い椅子はどのようにブロックを組み合わせれば良いか🐻、三匹のこぶたのお話と関連して、強い家を作るためには何の材料を使ってどのような形にしたら良いか等、おとぎ話を通してSTEMを学んでいきました🏡😊
小学生クラスでは、レベル分けをしフォニックスを学ぶ時間もあります。
子どもたちは、先生と一緒にボディシグナルをしながらフォニックスのルールと音を一生懸命学んでいました！👏
