ディーディーディアクラス2回目の遠足は水再生センター！Second DD Excursion to Water Reclamation Center!

こんにちは。ズー・フォニックス・アカデミー戸塚校です。
ディーディーディアの皆が6月に2回目の遠足に行ってきました！今月のテーマは自然環境と植物ということで今回は本郷台にある水再生センターに行ってきました！2年前にもこちらに遠足で伺いましたが、その際、ズーから御礼のポスターを送りましたが、再生センターの壁にまだ飾られておりました！
Greetings from Zoo-phonics Academy Totsuka school! Our Deedee Deer friends had their second excursion this month! Theme of this month was about plants and the environments, so we went to Water Reclamation Centers in Hongo-dai, Yokohama. We have been there two years ago, and our students sent them a thank you poster after their visit. We were surprised to see the poster still up on their walls!

水再生センターでは家庭から出た生活水をきれいする役割があり、センターの方から動画やスライドを使って説明して頂きました。実際にきれいになる前の水とろ過してきれいな水を見比べたりと皆真剣にスタッフさんからのお話を聞いていました！最後には再生センターのキャラクター、だいちゃんが会いに来てくれて皆大喜び。皆で記念撮影しました！
At Water Reclamation Center, they clean domestic waste water, so we learned how the waters are cleaned at their facility. They showed us how microorganisms clean the waste water, and they showed us the water before and after they cleaned the water. At the end of the presentation, their original character, Dai-chan, came to say hi to our students.

水再生センターのツアーではセンターの模型や水をくみ上げるポンプをポンプ室で実物を見たりと内容もてんこ盛り！外にある再生水を使った池を見学して際、センターで使っているドローンを飛ばしてくれて「写真とか動画も撮れるんだよ～」と教えてくれました。そうすると昼食中スタッフさんが実際にドローンから撮影した写真を出して頂いてプレゼントして頂きました！
During the tours, we went to the pump room and saw the model of the center to learn how the waters goes around the center. We went to the little lake made out of clean water restored in the center. While we were observing the lake, they flew drone that they use to check the water tank. They told us that they can take videos and photos from the drone, so they gave us the picture of us from the drone as a gift!

帰る際、センターで先輩達が送ったメッセージポスターを見たので、皆もスクールに帰ったら作りたいとのことでポスター用にセンター前で記念撮影！※カバー画像が水再生センターで取った写真です
Students were all excited about the visit! They were energized to make a thank you poster by themselves as well since they saw the posters made by old Deedee deer group at the wall. We took group photo at the end to use for the poster!※front/cover picture is the photo taken in front of the center

又、今月のテーマが植物ということで夏に向けて皆でアサガオの種を植えました！土を入れたり、種を植えたり、水やりをしたりと普段できない体験に子供たちも釘付けでした。植え始めて3週間ほどたった現在のアサガオの様子がこちら↑。

Since our theme included plants as well, our students planted morning glories at school! We filled planter with soils and planted the seeds. We are asking our students to water the plants every morning. Let's see if we can see beautiful morning glories by summer school!
